Northport Public Schools offer a special blend of educational opportunities that many families in other communities pay thousands of dollars in private school tuition bills to obtain for their children.
The Northport Promise helps students to take the great grounding they get at Northport to post-secondary education; vocational training, community or four-year colleges and universities, knowing that their community supports them and wants them to succeed. Northport graduates are ready for college thanks to the fundamentals they learned and the community that supports them.
The Northport Promise was founded in 2007 and gave its first scholarships - $11,200 - in 2008. Since then we've given out over $400,000 to help nearly 90 Northport graduates attend college.
Today many of our graduates are pursuing careers in engineering, teaching, law, event planning, policing, the military and much, much more.
